‘Portlandia’ Spoof on Portland Brings on Buzz

TV viewers have watched many shows where the city is a character: The New York of Sex and the City . The Boston of Fringe . And every other show set in L.A. Now a show that just premiered on IFC introduces Portland into the mix.

Port where? That s right, a city in Oregon that, if the show is to be believed , is filled with characters like feminist bookstore owners, restaurants that can tell you the name of the chicken you re eating, and militant anti-car bike riding types.
