Lindsay Lohan’s New Year’s Day Trespasser Sentenced, Slapped With Restraining Order
David Tonnessen, PacificCoastNews.com
Remember that guy who allegedly went to Venice, Calif., on New Year’s Day to pay Lindsay Lohan a visit, but then wouldn’t leave when she told him to get off her property?
Well, the 64-year-old who wanted to speak to LiLo was arrested and held on $1,000 bail. But now E! News can confirm that Lonnie Short has been convicted of trespassing and slapped with a restraining order.

According to Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan, Short pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of trespassing Wednesday afternoon and was sentenced to two years’ probation and time already served (eight days, to be exact) in county jail.
But that’s not all.
Short was also hit with a restraining order, which prohibits him from contacting Lohan or going within 100 yards of her or her home until 2014, which goes along with a 24 months’ summary probation he was placed on.
As for the second trespassing count he was originally slapped with, that was dismissed.
Maybe he just wanted to give the actress kudos on her praiseworthy probation report? Or that Playboy spread? But if so, those warm wishes will have to wait for at least another couple years.

Lindsay Lohan Ringing in 2012 in Los Angeles, Not Dubai
Lindsay Lohan is ringing in 2012 right at home in Los Angeles.
Despite Internet reports that the actress, 25, would be jetting off to Dubai to host a private New Year’s Eve bash Saturday, Lohan’s rep confirms to Us Weekly she’s staying put and hanging out at home.

“Reports about Lindsay going to Dubai for New Year’s Eve are completely untrue,” her spokesman said Friday.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Playboy‘s latest covergirl was set to attend a star-studded fete aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship.
Says her rep: “Lindsay is not going to Dubai, nor had she ever considered doing so. She will be spending New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family.”
2011 has been quite the year for Lohan, who graced the cover of Playboy‘s January/February 2012 issue and was featured in a pictorial her mom Dina declared “tastefully done.”

Prior to her shoot, the actress checked into and out of jail in November in under 5 hours after she was sentenced to serve 30 days related to her most recent probation violation.
It was the fifth jail sentence overall for the actress, who was arrested twice in 2007 for drunk driving.

“During the past five years, I’ve learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable,” the actress has said.

Lohan’s rep Honig concurred that Lohan will not be in Dubai, according to TMZ: “Lindsay is not going to Dubai, nor had she ever considered doing so. She will be spending New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family.”
Lohan has struggled in recent years with arrests and rumors of reports of drug abuse, yet she stormed back into the public eye in a different way this month with a nude Playboy spread.
Lindsay Lohan incited down New Year’s Eve offers: report
Lindsay Lohan may have stripped down for Playboy for a reported $1 million, but the actress has said no to several offers to host high-paying New Year’s Eve bashes, reports say.
Sources close to the actress tell TMZ that Lohan was offered a slew of opportunities to make money merely for her presence as 2012 is rung in Saturday night. But Lohan turned each one down, in an effort to turn around her party girl image, says the source.
HEF HAS MIXED EMOTIONS ABOUT LOHAN SPREAD
After dancing up a storm last week at her siblings’ birthday party in New York, and skipping a schedule taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” shortly after having her purse go missing at a house party in Hawaii, Lohan reportedly thinks it is important to keep a low profile for New Year’s Eve.
Apparently, rather than hosting an event, Lohan is opting to spend New Year’s Eve at home with just a few close friends, perhaps going out to dinner beforehand.
