Lifetime Boss On Lindsay Lohan's Passion For Liz & Dick
“Liz Dick,” the Lifetime movie starring Lindsay Lohan as screen legend Elizabeth Taylor, is about to get rolling.
“They start shooting on Friday,” Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks, told Access Hollywood correspondent Jill Martin on Wednesday at the network’s Upfronts in New York City.

When asked about the report that the network was forced to take out additional insurance on the production, because of the starlet, Dubuc said there were some extra issues they “had to manage.”
“There are logistics around her situation that we had to manage, but we did it in the spirit of trust and a partnership and we did it hand-in-hand,” Dubuc told Martin. “And we stood by her every step of the way, and we will all the way to air.”

Dubuc said Lifetime was moved by Lohan and her words helped convince them to put her in the project, about the relationship between Taylor and Richard Burton.
“What she said just embodied the story of ‘Liz Dick,’ and really you could see in her heart and in her mind that she wanted this and that she wanted a chance to do it,” Dubuc said. “Obviously, audiences love her and… she’s clearly going to drive a lot of viewers to this movie and so, of course, we want to be able to give her that platform and we’re thrilled that we can.”
The Lifetime boss said she feels the story will be particularly relevant for Lohan, whom she said shares similar experiences with the late great Taylor.

“I think the parallels between Liz Taylor‘s story and Lindsay’s story are undeniable. The creation of the paparazzi really came from the beginnings of the relationship with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and clearly Lindsay has had to endure her own challenges when it comes to that and the attentions that she garners,” Dubuc said. “But I think that this role will be a really interesting journey for her and hopefully one that the audience will embrace wholeheartedly.”

AN AUSTRALIAN model and actress stepped in as Lindsay Lohan’s body double when the actress looking to rebuild her shattered career arrived two hours late.
Tara Beaulieu, 28, stood in for Lohan to help ensure production costs did not mount up as the show’s producers tried to locate the troubled actress.

“They chose me because my measurements are the exact same and I had to fit into the same Prada dress,” Beaulieu told website Celebuzz.
“I can’t say too much about the episode. It’s great, but Glee fans will have to wait. It’s been a rather enjoyable few days on set.”
Beaulieu’s measurements, according to her personal website, are a 24 inch waist, 34 inch hips and a 35 inch bust.
Beaulieu has previously been told she resembles Lohan.
“It’s not the first time I’ve been told I look like Lindsay. Previously, I’ve been followed by paparazzi who thought I was her,” she said.
Lohan “showed up more than two hours late,” for her scheduled appearance with production staff reported to have sent a car to the Chateau Marmont hotel to pick her up and bring her to the set, Celebuzz reported.
A source told E! News: “Lindsay was a total nightmare. She was three hours late in the morning and when she did finally arrive, she just didn’t want to be there.
“She did not want to work. She did not memorise her lines and she kept disappearing so no one could find her.”
The 25-year-old Lohan, who was filming follow-ups after shooting the majority of her role last week, was seen taking a cigarette break in between takes as she returned to the set the next day, apparently after arriving on time.
She was dressed in a grungy ensemble of khaki top, black leggings, brown ankle boots and a black leather jacket with gold embellishment, and was spotted chatting to the show’s star Cory Monteith.
Meanwhile other members of the Glee cast including Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Heather Morris were spotted shooting scenes in matching red and black dresses.
Lohan had allegedly been out at a Hollywood party and then showed up late for her call time.
Dot Marie Jones, who plays Coach Beiste on the show, tweeted: “Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things.
‘Not cool! I’d rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late!’
Jones didn’t name the tardy individual, and later deleted the tweet, but webiste TMZ claimed to have confirmed it was Lohan.
Lohan’s spokesperson Steve Honig has claimed her lateness to the set yesterday was a ‘misunderstanding’.
“The production team came to us and said that they wanted to start [with Lindsay] right after lunch, which was at 2pm,” he said.
Lindsay Lohan Threatens Legal Action Against Man Claiming He Was Hit By Her Car
By Jen Heger – Radar Legal Editor
Lindsay Lohan is putting on notice the Hookah manager who claims she hit him with her Porsche as she left a Hollywood nightclub that if he files a civil lawsuit against her the actress will counter-sue and will hold him responsible for the allegations he has made, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
As we previously reported Lohan, 25, was leaving Sayers Club in Hollywood shortly after midnight last Wednesday in her new black Porsche when she was blocked by a swarm of paparazzi and club patrons from the nearby Hookah Lounge.
As she attempted to navigate a three point turn to get out of the alley, she allegedly grazed the manager of the Hookah Lounge. Initially, a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com, the manager told cops at the scene that he wasn’t hit by the car, but after finding out that Lohan was the driver, the manager went to a hospital emergency room, lawyered up and changed his story.

“Lindsay won’t be taken advantage of by this opportunist, which he clearly is. Lindsay has told her attorney, Shawn Holley, to convey to the Hookah manger’s lawyer that if he files a lawsuit against her Lindsay will come back at him with everything she has,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Lindsay will immediately file a counter-suit against him, for libel, defamation and other claims. Lindsay is in the midst of a comeback right now and she won’t let this guy try and make a quick buck off of her. If he is smart he should recognize that he has no facts to support his allegations and take this no further.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Hookah manger’s credibility is already under scrutiny because he has changed his story several times. “Let’s be very clear, he has changed his story significantly. Officers on the scene specifically asked the man if the car had hit him and he was absolutely emphatic that it hadn’t, nor had he claimed it hit his car,” a law enforcement source told RadarOnline.com. “Several hours later, the man’s newly hired lawyer called the Hollywood division of the LAPD and said that his client wanted to provide a statement because he was the victim of a hit and run accident. The manager claimed that he was in shock after the accident and that his foot began hurting and went to the hospital. He now says there is no doubt that Lindsay drove over his foot and fled the scene.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay vehemently denies hitting the man, and declared on her Twitter account, “Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I’ve been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd.”

The Mean Girls star will have her final progress report hearing on Thursday, March 29 and if she successfully completes the remainder of her court ordered community service and therapy sessions she will be off formal probation.
“Lindsay immediately notified her probation officer about the allegations the manager had made against her. She is doing everything required of her, she is so close to the end of her legal issues and she doesn’t want this to trigger a whole new round of legal problems,” the insider says.

Lindsay Lohan doubtful to face LAPD examine over purported hit-and-run
The Los Angeles Police Department is unlikely to take action against Lindsay Lohan amid allegations that she hit a man with her car outside a Hollywood club.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at a parking lot in the 6500 block of Hollywood Boulevard, said Officer Norma Eisenman.
Lohan was surrounded by paparazzi and was trying to negotiate a U-turn in a parking lot when her car allegedly brushed the leg of the man, reportedly a manager at a nearby club.
Police sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing, said officers documented the incident but that there was no evidence to warrant a full criminal investigation.
Lohan took to Twitter on Wednesday to deny any wrongdoing.
“Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I’ve been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd,” Lohan wrote on Twitter.
The man called police, who took down the information but did not make an official report because he was not injured.
Officers did not contact Lohan and the incident is not being considered a hit-and-run, Eisenman said.
