Michael Jackson’s kids to stir his hand, footprints during Grauman’s
The ceremony is the latest to be held by the Chinese’s new owners, movie producer Donald Kushner and entrepreneur Elie Samaha, who have removed some deteriorating slabs and replaced them with the hand and footprints of such luminaries as Jennifer Aniston, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Kobe Bryant and French DJ David Guetta. The Smurfs and the Chipmunks also got their paws and Smurf-hands set too, but those will not be displayed in the courtyard.
While fictional characters getting their prints set in concrete is nothing new (R2-D2 and C3PO did it years ago), it’s the first time the guest of honor hasn’t been alive for his or her own print ceremony.
The spate of new ceremonies has some in the film community harrumphing that the new inductees don’t live up to the majesty and “for-the-ages”-ness of the Chinese’s previous handprint honorees.
The new “Immortal” stage production combines Jackson’s music with all kinds of Cirque du Soleil-style leaping and dancing. Or as the show’s website describes it, the show “takes place in a fantastical realm where we discover Michael’s inspirational Giving Tree — the wellspring of his creativity. The secrets of Michael’s inner world are unlocked — his love of music and dance, fairy tale and magic, and the fragile beauty of nature.”
Nothing celebrates the beauty of nature like a big slab of concrete.

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father will begin spending the next four months in a treatment facility Wednesday (Thursday NZT) and participate in a domestic violence intervention program as part of a plea deal in Tampa.
Michael Lohan pleaded no contest to domestic violence charges in Florida. He must not contact his ex-girlfriend, Kate Major, a 29-year-old former Star Magazine reporter who he was accused of battering in October.
The 51-year-old Lohan told Judge Nick Nazaretian he wanted nothing to do with Major.
“My hand has been bit too many times,” said Lohan, who was wearing a red Hillsborough County Jail outfit.
The agreement reached between Lohan and Hillsborough County prosecutors means he will spend four months of his one-year probation at a residential program in Fort Myers. After that, he must complete a domestic violence batterer’s intervention program.
The elder Lohan was arrested in Tampa on October 25. A judge warned him not to make any contact with Major. But two days later, he was accused of violating the terms of his release by making a harassing phone call to her just hours after being released from jail.
Major told the court that Lohan would benefit from a treatment program and not jail.
“I think he needs help,” she said. “Keeping him in jail would be hurting him more.”
Major also talked briefly about Lohan’s famous daughter, Lindsay, an actress who also has had her share of brushes with the law.
“It’s my birthday today,” said Major. “A year ago, we were worried about Lindsay,” she said.
Judge Nazaretian replied: “I’m not sure who that is.”
A few giggles were heard in the courtroom.
Major also said she did not want Lohan’s family or friends to contact her or her family.
The judge ordered Lohan to have no contact with Major, otherwise he would be sent to jail for two years.
“No contact is nothing,” said Nazaretian. “Zero. Minus Zero.”
At one point, Lohan made a face when Major was speaking. Nazaretian reprimanded Lohan sharply.
“It’s not Disney World, so stop,” said the judge. “How old are you? Don’t act like a child.”

Jury deliberates predestine of Jackson alloy – AP
LOS ANGELES — Jurors considering the case against Michael Jackson’s doctor completed a morning of deliberations without asking any questions about evidence or otherwise indicating how far along they have gotten in their discussions.
The seven-man, five-woman panel did request highlighters and blank forms to request evidence after starting deliberations Friday morning.
The jury must reach a unanimous verdict to either convict or acquit Dr. Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s June 2009 death.
Jackson died from a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol; Murray has acknowledged giving Jackson propofol to help him sleep.

The group will deliberate during the court’s regular hours and has not been sequestered. The trial is ending its sixth week.
During closing arguments, attorneys for the Houston-based cardiologist attacked prosecutors and their witnesses, saying they had over time developed stories and theories that placed the blame for Jackson’s death squarely on Murray.
Prosecutors countered that Murray was an opportunistic and inept doctor who left Jackson’s three children without a father. They said that Murray giving Jackson propofol as a sleep aid violated standards of care and amounted to a secret experiment in which the doctor kept no records.

Media were stationed outside the courthouse and in the courtroom where the jury’s decision will eventually be read.
Attorneys handling the case will receive a two-hour notice when a verdict is reached. Murray waived the need for his presence if the panel asks any questions, but he must be present when a verdict is announced.

Jurors heard from 49 witnesses and have more than 300 pieces of evidence to consider. They were given lengthy instructions by the judge about how to deliberate.
If Murray is convicted, he faces a sentence ranging from probation to four years behind bars, and he would lose his medical license. The sentence will be decided by Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor after receiving input from attorneys for both sides and probation officials, if necessary.

A recent change in California law means that Murray, 58, might serve any possible incarceration in a county jail rather than a state prison. A prison term could be shortened by overcrowding.
If acquitted, Murray could still be pursued by medical licensing authorities in the states of California, Nevada and Texas.
To convict Murray, jurors will have to determine the cardiologist was substantially responsible for Jackson’s death.

Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian and Others
If you’re a die hard Twihard like us you’re probably anxiously awaiting Nov. 18th – the day when the next installment of the “Twilight” series is released. “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ is expected to have plenty of swoon worthy scenes between Edward and Bella and we can’t wait to see the buzz worthy honeymoon shots of the newly wedded couple. It turns out we’re not the only ones excited for the new movie as several celebrities have publicly professed their love for the vampire series. Let’s take a look at the biggest celeb Twihards in Tinsletown.
Lindsay Lohan
The former child star and soon to be Playboy cover girl is a huge fan of “Twilight” and she loves it so much she was begging to be in the series a couple of years ago, according to a close source to the actress.
“Lindsay is obsessed with the books and thinks she would fit perfectly,” the source told Star Magazine. “She’s been bombarding producers and casting directors with calls, e-mails, and texts pleading her case.”
Eek! Well thank goodness that never happened. We don’t see Lindsay and Kristen Stewart getting along very well on set.
Kim Kardashian
This reality star vixen has seen her share of time in the spotlight and wouldn’t mind getting in on the “Twilight” franchise, if for nothing else than to be around all the hunky babes. In 2009 Kim K. talked to Pop Eater about her dark dreams of being a vampire.
“I want to be a vampire,” she said. “I would be one that was probably nice – no, I kind of want to be evil. I don’t know what I’d want to be – just a vampire. I would die to be in ‘Twilight’, being around all those hot guys.”
Demi Lovato
BFF to Justin Bieber’s girl, Selena Gomez, this Disney actress has no problem sticking on Team Edward. The star has said in interviews Edward is her favorite character, although she thinks Jacob is equally adorable. She’s even hinted at wanting to play a role in the series.
“It’d be cool, of course, to play a character in the Twilight series or whatever. That’d be a dream. That’d be really cool,” Lovato said.
What do you think? Should they give this brunette beauty a small role in “Breaking Dawn: Part 2?”
Jennifer Love Hewitt
The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” babe has a hard time believing other girls to be anything but Team Edward.
“Who’s not Team Edward?” she asked MTV. “There is not a girl in the world who’s not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They’re aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist.”
Uh hello, have you seen Jacob’s abs? There’s just one reason alone girls might not be on Team Edward.
Hilary Duff
LiLo, Kim K, and Miss Lovato aren’t the only ones who have begged to get some on screen action with the “Twilight” stars. After “New Moon” was released former Disney star Hilary Duff was spotted talking to actor Peter Facinelli also known as Carlisle Cullen about how badly she wanted a role in the series.
A source told Hollyscoop, “Hilary told Peter how bad she wants to be in the next ‘Twilight’ movie. Hilary said that she would want to be one of the vampires in the movie.”
Unfortunately the previous “Lizzie McGuire” star didn’t get her chance to cozy up to any vampires or werewolves but we bet she’s looking forward to the next film.
