They have done quite a job earning money for Michael Jackson’s estate. Now the executors of the late pop star’s estate are in position to make a few dollars for themselves.

Attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain have been given the legal right to have some of their costs picked up by the estate, meaning they will make more money from their work of earning hundreds of millions of dollars for the estate since the pop star died in June, 2009.

A change approved by a federal judge in Los Angeles means Branca and McClain no longer have to pay some legal expenses and other costs out of their own pockets. Those payments had been cutting deeply into their 10-percent share of Jackson’s after-death earnings.

Since Jackson died, the estate has earned more than $310 million dollars. Attorneys for Katherine Jackson and the children had no objection to the changes that would, in effect, be a raise for the executors.
