Michael Jackson’s Former Bodyguard Matt Fiddes Claims to be Blanket’s Father

Michael Jackson's Chldren - Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket (Prince Michael II)

Michael Jackson’s former British bodyguard has launched a legal bid to prove he’s the biological father of the late singer’s youngest son.

Martial arts master Matt Fiddes – who provided protection for the ‘Thriller’ singer when he was in the UK – is heading to America to lodge court papers and demand the right to see 10-year-old Blanket, whose birth name is Prince Michael Jackson II.

He claims to have given Jackson – who also had two other children, Prince Michael, 15, and 14-year-old Paris – a sperm donation in a London hotel a year before Blanket was born in 2002.

He said: “I am going to lodge my DNA and formally ask the Jacksons for access. I want visitation rights.

“Michael is their father and I do not want that to change, but I want the children back in my life. The only way that’s going to happen is through legal action. I think Blanket is mine but I want final proof.”

Fiddes – who has vowed to provide officials with a DNA sample so they can confirm his claims that he is the youngster’s true biological dad – alleges Jackson’s family have refused to speak to him or answer his letters since his death in 2009.

Fiddes – who has three other children – says Jackson even told him he was Blanket’s real father in November 2002, after he infamously dangled the then nine-month-old child over a hotel balcony.

He said: “I sat there and asked the question, ‘Is Blanket my child?’ He said, ‘He’s my child, Matt, but I used your sperm to produce him.’”

But Fiddes claims Jackson’s mother Katherine, 81, has done her best to block his desperate pleas to see Blanket believing he is after money.

Jackson died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 at the age of 50.

He claimed back in 2010 that he is the biological father of Michael Jackson’s youngest child Blanket.

And now, the late singer’s former bodyguard Matt Fiddes has stated he is launching a legal bid to prove it.

The 32-year-old Brit has vowed to head to Los Angeles where he will demand the right to see the 10-year-old, whose real name is Prince Michael II.

He added: ‘Michael is their father and I do not want that to change, but I want the children back in my life. The only way that’s going to happen is through legal action. I think Blanket is mine but I want final proof.’

The martial arts master, who provided protection for Jackson in the UK, claims he gave the star with a sperm donation in 2001 after Jackson told him he wanted an ‘athletic’ child – a year before Blanket was born.

Fiddes, who has three other children, has also alleged that the King of Pop, who died in 2009 aged 50, admitted he was the biological father of Blanket.

He told the Daily Star that the conversation occurred after he flew to Berlin to comfort Jackon in November 2002 after the singer infamously dangled a then nine-month-old Blanket off a hotel balcony.

Fiddes, who hails from Devon, said: ‘I sat there and asked the question: “Is Blanket my child?” He said: “He’s my child, Matt, but I used your sperm to produce him.”’

The former bodyguard has previously claimed that Jackson offered him £500,000 for the sperm, but he turned the money down and donated it for free.

Fiddes now claims that Jackson’s 81-year-old mother Katherine has done her utmost to stop him from contacting the family since the star’s death, because she allegedly believes he is after money.

He said: ‘Katherine’s worried we will come after the estate and will tell the kids the truth.

‘But to me the truth is the big issue, and that’s why I want to take it further. I’m a self-made man, I don’t want or need their money.

‘All I want is access if he’s my child, to take him out, and spend some time together. My mum is dying of cancer. I want her to see Blanket more than anything.’

Oh Lord people will believe anything. In my opinion anyone who believes MJ is biologically related to ANY of these kids is a nut or a fool.

The interesting thing is that 2 years ago, Matt said that Michael never told him if he used his sperm. Now he says they had a conversation about it and Michael admitted it? Which is it? He’s magically remembered a very important detail. Please. Blanket is all Michael in looks.

I don’t know–I think Blanket favors MJ before all the plastic surgery–something about the nose and chin…

ONE CAN SEE MICHAEL in all three of the children and Paris looks just like her mother. I think Micheals children were concieved normally.

Ironically, Blanket is the only child that I think might actually be Michaels. The other two are clearly caucasians.

It’s a simple case of cashing in. This guy obviously believes “Blanket” is his cash cow.

Anyone can be a sperm donor …it takes love and commitment to be a father..Get a life Matt and leave this kid alone he has been through enough… your five minutes of fame is now over

the “real father” is the one who holds your hand and loves you all your life. Not the one who shows up 10 years later and thinks nothing of dragging your name through the press. His “real father” was Michael. RIP

This jackass, again? Even a blind person can see that Blanket is Michael Jackson’s biological son! Good grief! Leave the boy alone!

If he truly cared about his child he wouldn’t be adding to the stress the kid is suffering through.

Jackson brothers to move summer debate to NY, NJ

Almost three years after the death of Michael Jackson, his brothers are set to go back on tour together for the first time in nearly three decades, with several shows planned for the New York-New Jersey area.

The Jacksons have announced plans for a summer trek, dubbed the Unity Tour 2012, that will mark the first time Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito Jackson have toured together since their Victory Tour in 1984. Kicking off June 18 in Louisville, Ky., the 27-date jaunt will wrap up July 29 in Snoqualmie, Wash. It stops June 28 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, June 29 at the Borgata in Atlantic City and June 30 at bergenPAC in Englewood.

“This is a dream coming true,” Jackie Jackson said in a statement. “I can’t believe this is finally happening. There’s nothing like having all the brothers onstage at the same time. This will be exciting for our fans around the world – and I know at each concert, M.J.’s spirit will be in the house with us.”

Rumors of a reunion began long before their former lead singer died of a fatal overdose of propofol in June 2009. Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, is currently behind bars after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

The brothers’ desire to reunite onstage was the focal point of their AE docu-series, “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.” The show had initially been filmed as a one-off hour-long special about the Jacksons – minus Michael and younger brother Randy – and their desire to release an album and launch a tour in celebration of the band’s 40th year in showbiz. The show took a more somber tone after Michael’s death, and was commissioned as a series.

Jermaine Jackson has been vocal in his resistance to other themed tributes, but he has embraced the idea of honoring the late King of Pop on the new tour. “I am so happy and excited to perform again onstage with my brothers,” he said in a statement. “I can’t wait to sing all the songs that were so much a part of all of our lives. We are ready and committed to keep the family’s legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity and, most of all, integrity.”

When Vamsi Tadepalli studied jazz performance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, few would have guessed that he would end up creating and traveling the world with a Michael Jackson tribute band.

But the Durham native did just that, forming Who’s Bad with some of his UNC classmates in 2004. The band will perform at 9:30 p.m. Friday at It’z Entertainment City, but you’d be wise to get there around 8 p.m. for a good view of the group performing hits including “Bad,” “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and “Man in the Mirror.”

Growing up, Tadepalli – the son of Indian parents who were both scientists – was exposed to a lot of classical Indian music, as well as pop. But he fondly remembers his father buying him Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” at the age of 4.

It wasn’t until Tadepalli was in the music school at UNC that he went back to “Thriller” and started appreciating the music for its layers.

“I started going back to some of that stuff and thinking, ‘Man, people don’t make stuff like this anymore,’ ” Tadepalli said. “I just became more attracted to the stuff they were doing in the ’70s and early ’80s, and even the stuff The Jacksons were doing before that.”

That sparked the idea for the band. There were plenty of Jackson impersonators, but no one played Jackson’s catalog live. And Tadepalli didn’t want his show to be a cheesy gimmick.

What started out as just covers of Jackson’s greatest hits turned into a full-fledged show, with the music being the most important thing.

“A lot of people don’t think about the drums and the horns, or the bass playing, or the guitar. They think about the knife fight in the ‘Beat It’ video, or they think about the ‘Thriller’ dance,” said Tadepalli. “So it was a thing of reminding people that the music is what makes everything move. If the music grooves, then he moves.”

Tadepalli built the band in reverse order with that same theory in mind. He assembled his band first, all North Carolinians. Once they came together, he set out on a mission of finding a frontman.

“Michael Jackson has big shoes to fill,” he said. “And there are a lot of people that, as much as they aspire to be like him, will never get close.”

Filling Jackson’s shoes has been an even larger task since his death in 2009. Demand for Who’s Bad has risen sharply. The band has performed in Europe and China, as well as toured the United States.

“Even before Michael passed away, we were doing anywhere from 80 to 100 shows,” said Tadepalli. “After he passed in 2009 … people wanted to hear it, especially live, and we were the go-to guys. We were kind of fortunate, after an unfortunate, tragic situation; we were kind of put in the spotlight and able to kind of provide that to people.”

Michael Jackson’s uncover tunes of Robert Burns poems to be conduct for initial time

“Michael believed in the project so much. He said: ‘I’ll give you the studio
(in Los Angeles) and I’ll pay for all the music’.

“We went to his recording studio at the family house in Encino, where all the
Jacksons grew up and we took about eight or 10 of Burns’s poems and we put
them to contemporary music, things like A Red Red Rose and Ae Fond Kiss and
the story of Tam O’Shanter.”

The songs were originally intended to be part of a musical, directed by Gene
Kelly and produced by actor Anthony Perkins. The death of both men meant it
was never staged.

Mr Gest, a former contestant on the reality show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of
Here released a film on Jackson’s life last year. In 1996, he staged a show
called Red Red Rose, which was based on Burns’s life and starred the actor
John Barrowman.

A spokesman for the National Trust for Scotland, which runs the Ayrshire
museum, said, confirmed Mr Gest was a recent visitor.

“We understand there was some discussion about the donation of some musical
materials. If it goes ahead it will be an exciting addition,” he said.
