'Glee': How did Lindsay Lohan do
[Warning: "Glee" spoilers aplenty]
“Glee,” where songs go for revival and former child stars for “image rebranding.”
Lindsay Lohan judged the New Directions on the penultimate season finale episode, along with frenemy Perez Hilton and “Entourage” star Rex Lee, to help rebuild her aura — but did anybody notice? The Twitterverse was largely mum on her cameo, except for one who noted she “chaffed ‘The Voice’ in the judges’ room.” That was when Lohan professed outrage that there were no cameras filming her judging a high school national chorus championships.
‘Glee,’ Lohan fan reaction
Searches for “lindsay lohan” on Yahoo! did pop up 132%, and measured more than double the searches for “glee” (That’s including the panicky “glee cancelled” queries. The show’s not cancelled—just moved to Thursdays). Lohan’s Facebook reminder to watch her on “Glee” received 1,469 likes, but the feedback was sparse: “[S]aw you!!!!!………really good and hilarious as always. Just hope people wontt give you grief for acting like a champ girly!!” chirped one fan, but another was “kinda disappointed” about the small role, but gave her props on the red hair. A third dispensed career advice, “[E]xcited to see you tonight but i wish you were NOT playing yourself. NOT the BEST way to showcase those great acting chops IMHO but JMO.”
Among “Glee” Facebook fans, the Lindsay moment didn’t rank as a favorite: “Perez was great. Lindsay was aweful- my lord the girls totally forgotten how to act – even acting as herself.” Others despaired: “Why did you have to ruin it with Lindsay Lohan? WHY??” and “I like it all, all except for the scene of Lindsay Lohan and Perez Hilton, even the Asian judge was annoying.” They weren’t all haters: “Loved everything, especially Lindsay,” “the discussion with lindsay and perez :’D,” and “Puck in a dress, mean, and lindsay lohan cracked me up!”
Critics: “high note” or “wasted opportunity”
Media outlets were also willing to judge the judge. X17Online gushed over how she went over the top and triggered flashbacks of the “Mean Girls” Lilo. Celebuzz duly noted the show’s ironic introduction of Lohan as “America’s sweetheart,” her glam ensemble, and the funny lines. OK Magazine credited the actress and her love of the “underdog” for letting the Glee club kids of McKinley High finally win a trophy. (Then again, with coach Sue Sylvester pumping Mercedes full of steroids to kill her food-poisoning-induced fever, doesn’t that call for an investigation?)
MTV reported Lohan’s 166 seconds on “Glee” was full of “sweet, self-deprecating humor. The actress, playing herself, was able to make cracks about her contentious public image.” But MTV couldn’t get any “Glee” stars or even the chatty blogger to confirm or deny rumors of backstage tardiness or diva behavior. She enjoyed herself, the New York Daily News decided, and the “casual” performance was a “high note.” The Seattle Post Intelligencer wasn’t as kind, dismissing the “uselessness” of both Lohan and Hilton’s appearances (but thumbs up on the win), Newsday dubbed it a “dumb outing, another wasted opportunity,” and Entertainment Weekly — which professed great love for the Lilo — wavered and said the lines “were pretty funny — if not a bit sad.”
Bono — Facebook WON’T Make Me World’s Richest Rocker
Looks like Paul McCartney’s title as world’s richest entertainer is safe … ’cause Bono says his stake in Facebook will NOT push him into the number one spot. Bono was in D.C. this morning to attend a fundraiser for President Obama … when a Washington…

Lindsay Lohan has faced her fair share of critics throughout her career.
But the tables seemed to be turned as she hangs with the McKinley High kids for the May 15 (8 p.m. ET on Fox) episode of Glee.
In exclusive photos from the two-hour special, Lohan, 25, guest-starring as herself, channels her inner judge (the showbiz kind) as she sizes up the competition at Nationals, where the glee club is vying for top honors after last season’s upset. They’ll take on show choir nemesis Vocal Adrenaline in front of a panel of celebrity judges, including Lohan, Rex Lee and Perez Hilton.
The casting news was announced in March weeks after Lohan, who has officially satisfied her probation terms in her drunk-driving case, hosted Saturday Night Live.
“Glee was fun to do!” she Tweeted Monday. “It made me want to live in a world of musicals where people always just burst out into song dance!”
Up next for the rebounding star is a role as silver screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie.
Glee airs Tuesday nights on Fox (8 p.m. ET).

NEWS – Reality TV Weekly Round-Up!
Because reality stars (past and present) thrive on attention of any kind, they’re always in the press. Good or bad! Here’s a round-up of what’s been happening as of late.
The former Real Housewives of DC stars have had an eventful week. Perhaps they’re coordinating press releases for maximum exposure!
Up first, Mary Amons filed for divorce from husband Rich Amons. She announced her split from her husband of 26 years on Facebook! “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my twenty-six year marriage. While I have the deepest respect for my husband and wish him the very best, we have grown apart,” Mary wrote.
She then added that she wants privacy during this difficult time – which is why she publicized it on Facebook, right? What this means is that every single member of the former RHODC cast is now a single lady. Perhaps Bravo can do a former Real Housewives dating show?

Next up, Tareq Salahi continues his desperate quest for attention, relevance, and wealth. After having his lawsuit against Neal Schon and ex-wife Michaele Salahi thrown out of court by a Virginia judge, the famewhore remains undaunted. And try, try again he will!
RumorFix obtained court documents stating Tareq is proceeding with the suit, but he has removed Michaele’s name from the list of defendants. She doesn’t have any money anyway! “Tareq is taking her off because he wants to move forward with his life and wants to wrap up this divorce as soon as possible,” a source reveals. “And by taking her off, he can move forward with the divorce, get the divorce done and finish the financial obligations that Journey interfered with, and settle with them in due time.” I’m sure he will prevail!
Anyone remember Puck from season three of Real World. Most of you were probably still in diapers (that’s a compliment) when the original outrageous famewhore made his mark on television history. Well, Puck aka David Rainey looks like hell is in the news again. And no surprise, he’s been arrested! The former reality trainwreck was arrested last month on two felony charges and is still behind bars according to RadarOnline.
The now 43-year-old was charged with Battery on a Person and Stalking/Violation of a Restraining Order involving his wife, Betty. Puck was booked at the Van Nuys Jail in California where he is being held on $225,000 bail. This is not the first arrest for the caring and considerate gentleman. Maybe MTV will spring him loose?
That’s Justin on the far right.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richard‘s ladysitter, Justin Sylvester has found himself included in the cast of an all-new reality show about the Beverly Hills nannies. Which is also the title, according to Zap2it. Wait – nannying Kyle counts? Beverly Hills Nannies will air on ABC Family this summer and it will feature a whole host of nannies to the Beverly Hills’ elite – including some celebs. Will you be watching? I won’t be!
Apparently Jon Gosselin has a new lady love. The dad of a zillion has teamed up with a single mom of three, Liz, and now is the dad of 11 zillion! “We’ve been dating for about four months and people might think it’s crazy to add her three kids to the mix, but it has been great,” the former Jon Kate Plus 8 star tells Star Magazine. “She loves sports and really understands being a parent and my kids love her.” Kate’s not gonna like this!
Moving on, Linda Hogan is still dating a toddler twenty-something friend of her son, Nick. And now she is talking marriage! Linda’s beau, Charley is now 23 and no surprise, he’s not interested in marriage just yet! “We’re just taking it a day at a time, we’re like everyone else,” Linda told Access Hollywood. The couple is currently examining their issues on VH1’s Couples Therapy. Not to worry, even though they’re not ready to walk down the aisle – the pair is still very much a couple! “It’s exclusive, it has been ever since we met. He was my soul mate from the beginning.” Uh-huh.
Finally, last but not least, Keyshia Cole will be returning to reality TV in an all-new show on BET. Deadline reports that Keyshia Cole: Family First (Working Title) is a six-part series featuring the singer as she juggles being a wife to NBA player Daniel Gibson and mother of a two-year-old son, with her career as a musician and businesswoman. The series is expected to debut this fall!

Actress Lindsay Lohan will appear as a guest star on TV musical
comedy Glee, her spokesman said today, in the latest step of a
comeback for the once rising star whose career has been tarnished
by drinking, drugs and legal troubles.
Lohan’s spokesman declined to give details of the episode
involving the Mean Girls actress.
But entertainment website TVLine.com said Lohan would play
herself and serve as a celebrity judge when the Glee choir performs
at a key contest toward the end of this current season.
The Glee guest stint marks a turnaround for Lohan, who was the
butt of a joke on the show in 2010 when actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s
school teacher character Holly Holliday delivered a sharp quip
about Lohan’s many stints in rehab.
Lohan, 25, has been working hard to put her party girl past
behind her and could have her probation formally lifted later this
week after being in and out of court, rehab and jail since a drunk
driving and cocaine possession arrest in 2007.
She hosted an episode of satirical TV show Saturday Night Live
in February, and has landed the part of screen legend Elizabeth
Taylor in an upcoming TV movie.
Actress Whoopi Goldberg also was reported on Tuesday to be
appearing on Glee when it returns to the Fox network in April.
TVLine.com said the Sister Act star would play a drama academy
professor who auditions characters Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt
(Chris Colfer) for a place at a performing arts college.
Glee returns to TV screens on April 10 and the third season’s
finale is scheduled for May 22.
