The 25-year-old actress, who was at the time days away from completing her probation in a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case, had denied involvement and called his claim “a complete lie,” adding that she was carrying out court-mandated community service at the time.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com on Friday, May 4, that Lohan will not be charged and also called her accuser a “non-credible witness.”
It said in a report that on March 13, around 11 p.m., security cameras near the Hookah Lounge in Hollywood captured footage of a vehicle and two pedestrians in a parking lot. The video was determined to be “too grainy” to identify the driver or the people and did not show a collision.
More than an hour later, the club’s manager called 911 and reported that he and his car were struck in the parking lot. He told an officer who had arrived to investigate that while his vehicle was not damaged, the drivers’ car “rubbed along his right leg, but that he was uninjured and did not want the police involved.”
“He said he would pursue the matter in his own way and refused the office on an ambulance,” the District Attorney’s office report said. “Unknown people at the scene told the officer that Lindsay Lohan was the driver of the vehicle. The plate [number] given to [the] officer came back at a 2012 Porsche owned by Lindsay Lohan.”
Officers inspected her car on March 23, while she was carrying out her court-mandated community service at a coroner’s office, which was included in her probation requirements. No evidence of a recent collision was found on her Porche.
Her accuser initially refused to cooperate with police, authorities said, but later met with detectives almost two weeks after reporting the incident. He provided them with “a CD of a bruised left knee from an unknown person and a receipt” from a medical center, dated half a day after the incident was reported, the District Attorney’s office report said.
“There is no direct evidence to show Lindsay Lohan or anyone else struck” the man,” it said, adding that his “changed story and lack of cooperation with law enforcement made him a non-credible witness. The fact that no collision is seen on the video and a lack of any damage to any vehicle or any independent witness make it impossible to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
A judge ruled on March 29 that Lohan has fulfilled all her probation requirements stemming from her 2007 DUI case, which had stalled her acting career. She has served five stints in jail. In addition to her time at the coroner’s office, she had to also complete community service hours at a women’s shelter, undergo psychological counseling and pay a slew of legal fees as part of a sentence handed down for a misdemeanor theft charge involving a missing necklace, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation.
The judge told her that the latter case will be “hanging over” her head until May 24, 2014, but that she did not have to attend probation progress report hearings anymore.
Lohan is continuing her attempts at a career comeback, starting with a starring role in a Lifetime television movie about Elizabeth Taylor. She also recently attended the White House Correspondents’ dinner, capturing the attention of former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who appeared in several photos with her.

Actress Lindsay Lohan will appear as a guest star on TV musical
comedy Glee, her spokesman said today, in the latest step of a
comeback for the once rising star whose career has been tarnished
by drinking, drugs and legal troubles.
Lohan’s spokesman declined to give details of the episode
involving the Mean Girls actress.
But entertainment website TVLine.com said Lohan would play
herself and serve as a celebrity judge when the Glee choir performs
at a key contest toward the end of this current season.
The Glee guest stint marks a turnaround for Lohan, who was the
butt of a joke on the show in 2010 when actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s
school teacher character Holly Holliday delivered a sharp quip
about Lohan’s many stints in rehab.
Lohan, 25, has been working hard to put her party girl past
behind her and could have her probation formally lifted later this
week after being in and out of court, rehab and jail since a drunk
driving and cocaine possession arrest in 2007.
She hosted an episode of satirical TV show Saturday Night Live
in February, and has landed the part of screen legend Elizabeth
Taylor in an upcoming TV movie.
Actress Whoopi Goldberg also was reported on Tuesday to be
appearing on Glee when it returns to the Fox network in April.
TVLine.com said the Sister Act star would play a drama academy
professor who auditions characters Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt
(Chris Colfer) for a place at a performing arts college.
Glee returns to TV screens on April 10 and the third season’s
finale is scheduled for May 22.

Lindsay Lohan scoffs during hit-and-run allegations, says paparazzi freaked her out
Lindsay Lohan, right, and her lawyer Shawn Holley at a probation progress hearing last month in Los Angeles.
Lindsay Lohan calls a claim that she grazed a man’s knee with her Porsche while trying to extricate herself from a cluster of paparazzi “a complete lie.”
“Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi,” she tweeted after TMZ.com reported that the man, after initially claiming he wasn’t injured, sought medical attention. “These false accusations are absurd.”
The Los Angeles police department — for once — appears to be on her side. Officers called to the scene “found no evidence of vehicles being hit, no evidence of people being injured, so there was no report taken since there was no evidence of any crime,” a spokesman tells Reuters.
Lohan’s latest brush comes just as her long, strange trip through the California criminal justice system nears its end. Her legal woes began with a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession case, but if she keeps her nose clean — literally and figuratively — she’ll finally be free of probation at the end of the month. Lohan recently told Matt Lauer that she’s clean and sober and trying to get her career back on track. After hosting “Saturday Night Live” earlier this month, she’s set to star as Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic.

The judge told the 25-year-old actress on Wednesday that she has fulfilled her community service and counseling requirements so far and that if she continues her progress, the supervised probation time that was handed down for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case “will go bye-bye.”
“Miss Lohan, You’re in the homestretch,” Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said. “The probation offer is pleased with your progress.” (Check out full details from Lindsay Lohan’s probation report below)
Lohan, who appeared in court wearing an Acne dress and Roland Mouret trench coat, has been on probation since her 2007 conviction and served five stints in jail since then. Her most recent one, in November, lasted mere hours. Some were ordered as part of sentences given for violating her probation, which was subsequently extended several times since then.
Last year, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a women’s shelter and at a morgue and told to undergo psychological counseling as part of a sentence handed down for a separate misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation.
In November, Lohan was ordered to complete her requirements in increments. Wednesday’s hearing marked the third consecutive time she has received a glowing review. She last appeared in court in January.
The judge said the actress must return on March 29 and must completed 14 more community service sessions and five more therapy sessions by then. If she does, she will only be on non-reporting probation, which allows her more freedom.
“After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws,” she told Lohan. “Stay out of trouble and move on with your life.”
The judge also told Lohan that for now, she is allowed to travel outside of California, where she lives, for work only and must tell her probation officer beforehand. Lohan is set to host “Saturday Night Live” on March 3. The show is taped in New York City and rehearsals typically take place during the week before the episode.
Lohan’s acting career has stalled amid her turmoil. The former child star, who became even more famous with the 2004 movie “Mean Girls,” last year posed naked for Playboy magazine for the first time. She channels late sex icon Marilyn Monroe in the photos.
Lohan is also expected to take on the role in another Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor, in a Lifetime movie. A source close to the matter confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com that early discussions about the matter have been carried out. No air date has been set for the film and no other actors have been named as potential cast members.
