BBW’s Tami Roman “Apologizes,” Deactivates Twitter and Evelyn Responds to Backlash; Plus Royce Confirms She’s Still With Dezmon!

It was the most disturbing and horrendous episode I’ve ever had to blog about, and I watch some seriously trashy television.  Y’all know I have to be talking about the most recent Basketball Wives, right?  Naturally viewers were outraged as they watched Tami Roman bully fellow cast mate Kesha Nichols in a drunken tirade while vacationing in Tahiti.  While I was certain that an apology would ensue just for the sake of damage control, I wasn’t holding my breath that it would be sincere.  Bingo!

On Tuesday, Tami took to twitter to apologize for her horrendous behavior to Kesha.  However, presumably due to backlash, she has since deleted her twitter account.  According to newsone.com, the first apology tweet stated, I’m not proud of my behavior, but I own up to it and face it. I do apologize 2my family, my friends, my kids 2 my cast members—Tami Roman (@TamiRoman)” followed by “I just landed in NYC, but I did catch 2nites episode on the plane. As I said earlier, this was BAD, wrong immature-I apologize…—Tami Roman (@TamiRoman).”

Tami even took to Facebook, where her apology was a tad on the defensive side.  According to enstarz.com, the post read, “I don’t apologize for it 2b accepted – that is ultimately the other person’s right to accept or deny it. My only responsibility is to acknowledge a mistake was made and own up to it. I apologize to my family, my REAL friends, my business colleagues, and my Project Girl ladies 4my recent behavior on BBW. I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. I sincerely apologize to all of us, as well as to my castmate who was on the receiving end of my wrath.”  Perhaps to her REAL friends that sounds like a REAL apology.

Below is a picture Evelyn Lozada tweeted of Tami’s facebook page in which Tami explains her decision to deactivate her twitter account.  Heck, I feel like Evelyn put more effort into writing her blog than those two tweets and random post!  She writes:

Last night’s episode was a whirlwind of emotions for everyone. It’s such a sensitive subject for me because I honestly see it from both sides. I’m not here to condemn or condone anyone especially given some of my choices this season, however I will say that once again last night’s episode and all that happened forced me to look at and examine myself in ways that I haven’t in the past. No matter what the situation is, I’m realizing that we as grown women are allowing ourselves to be placed in a position for judgment. I’m confident that I speak for many of us on the show that when it comes to creating a better balance for television, we are all working very hard to do just that. Many of us are getting help for our inner issues and striving to portray a more positive image overall.

Tahiti was just an example of all of us being a true work in progress… Hang in there with us, as we vow to grow and become better!

Well, that’s all fine and good, Ms. Lozada, but are we actually going to see this “balance” of which you speak?  That seems to be the show’s new buzz word as discontent among fans swirls in light of the BBW being renewed for a fifth season.  The show’s creator, Shed Media, also released a statement after the vicious episode, stating, “Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the Basketball Wives in a balanced way. Our producing partner Shaunie O’Neal feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance. We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a non-violent fashion. We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season.”

Not surprisingly, even more celebrities are speaking out about the show and it’s violence.  While the Monday’s episode aired, Nicki Minaj tweeted, “so disturbed by this episode #sad.”  Shortly after, the rapper tweeted the link to Kesha’s blog about bullying which you can read here.

And finally, let’s give Royce Reed a little blog time since she hasn’t been getting much screen time lately.  Vibe.com is reporting on a radio interview where Royce confirms what we all already knew…there’s no way, no day that she’ll ever leave Dezmon Briscoe, despite the cheating rumors.  It seems Dezmon easily convinced Royce that his actions were necessary to maintain a relationship with his son.

She told DJ TT Torrez of iPower 92.1, “The situation is crazy and I understand why he did it, it was wrong as hell, but the fact is he never cheated on me.  I can’t make her get over the fact that one, they were never together, and two, they’re not gonna be together. There’s no love lost because there was never any love gained, and I just feel like things got a little messy, and me responding to her got a little messy also.  I’m not gonna leave Dezmon because of what the world thinks I should do. I love him, he loves me and it wasn’t time to walk away. I’m not gonna leave him for the one thing he did wrong when there were so many other things he did right.”  Oh, Royce.  Could it be your father is right?  It seems like you’re still way more focused on Dezmon’s ex than what your boyfriend put you through.  Good gracious…will these ladies EVER learn??

TELL US-THOUGHTS ON TAMI’S “APOLOGIES’?  WILL YOU WATCH A MORE “BALANCED” SEASON FIVE?  SHOCKED TO HEAR ROYCE IS STILL GAGA OVER DEZMON?

Is Caroline Manzo Threatening To Quit RHONJ If Teresa Isn’t Fired? Plus Teresa Claims Caroline Wasn’t Even Supposed To Be A HW!

The back and forth continues amongst the ladies of Real Housewives of New Jersey. In today’s update, Teresa Giudice claims Caroline Manzo was never even supposed to be included in the show and Caroline allegedly tried to convince Bravo to fire Teresa (which she denies)!

Up first, Reality Weekly is reporting that Caroline is so annoyed with Teresa’s presence in her life she is trying to get Bravo to fire the drama besieged housewife! Caroline is apparently trying to convince her fellow castmates to all band together and refuse to film with Teresa. A tactic that was also used in part to oust Danielle Staub from the series.

“Caroline is the ringleader, as usual, and has pulled all the other New Jersey Housewives into the plan,” an insider discloses. This is a tactic that often backfires. When Jill Zarin attempted to do this to Bethenny Frankel, Bravo retaliated by handing her a spinoff…something Teresa has, apparently, already been angling for!

Caroline is supposedly so serious about Teresa needing to go, she’s taken a her or me approach and made it know she will quit if Teresa doesn’t leave the show!

In a Facebook post dispelling the rumors, Caroline claims it’s absolutely not true! “Dear world – newsflash – there was no meeting – no ultimatum – no demands – no talk at all of Season 5 between myself Bravo,” she wrote. Adding, “Article suggesting otherwise is a bold face – downright lie.”  She really enjoys her own special use of punctuation, doesn’t she?

Yesterday Teresa talked to Johnjay and Rich on their Phoenix radio show and not only discussed her family and friends drama, but also shared that Caroline wasn’t even supposed to be on RHONJ.

As for her family drama, Teresa shares: “It’s sad hearing my family talk about me,” she mused, “but it is what it is.” And she stands by her apology to Caroline about the cookbook. “I apologized. To me it takes a bigger person to apologize than not to apologize. I did it and I was sincere. Now the balls in their court.”

Teresa also explained how she got cast for the show – apparently it all stems back to Dina Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. “They found us through a salon in Franklin Lakes called Chateau,” Teresa reveals. “Dina and Jacqueline were regulars there. Dina recommended me and Jacqueline recommended another friend of hers that backed out.”

“And then she sent the cameras over to Caroline’s house. So, Caroline really wasn’t supposed to do it. But they interviewed her, they saw her kids, and I guess they liked her and thought she would be good for the show. And Danielle was a regular at the salon.” So there you have it!

If I had a dollar for every time I typed “Real Housewives of New Jersey” I’d be able to afford my own marble encrusted Franklin Lakes mansion! Which I’m not sure I necessarily want… imagine being neighbors with these ladies!

'Glee': How did Lindsay Lohan do

Lindsay Lohan[Warning: "Glee" spoilers aplenty]

“Glee,” where songs go for revival and former child stars for “image rebranding.”

Lindsay Lohan judged the New Directions on the penultimate season finale episode, along with frenemy Perez Hilton and “Entourage” star Rex Lee, to help rebuild her aura — but did anybody notice? The Twitterverse was largely mum on her cameo, except for one who noted she “chaffed ‘The Voice’ in the judges’ room.” That was when Lohan professed outrage that there were no cameras filming her judging a high school national chorus championships.

‘Glee,’ Lohan fan reaction
Searches for “lindsay lohan” on Yahoo! did pop up 132%, and measured more than double the searches for “glee” (That’s including the panicky “glee cancelled” queries. The show’s not cancelled—just moved to Thursdays). Lohan’s Facebook reminder to watch her on “Glee” received 1,469 likes, but the feedback was sparse: “[S]aw you!!!!!………really good and hilarious as always. Just hope people wontt give you grief for acting like a champ girly!!” chirped one fan, but another was “kinda disappointed” about the small role, but gave her props on the red hair. A third dispensed career advice, “[E]xcited to see you tonight but i wish you were NOT playing yourself. NOT the BEST way to showcase those great acting chops IMHO but JMO.”

Among “Glee” Facebook fans, the Lindsay moment didn’t rank as a favorite: “Perez was great. Lindsay was aweful- my lord the girls totally forgotten how to act – even acting as herself.”  Others despaired: “Why did you have to ruin it with Lindsay Lohan? WHY??” and “I like it all, all except for the scene of Lindsay Lohan and Perez Hilton, even the Asian judge was annoying.” They weren’t all haters: “Loved everything, especially Lindsay,” “the discussion with lindsay and perez :’D,” and “Puck in a dress, mean, and lindsay lohan cracked me up!”

Critics: “high note” or “wasted opportunity”
Media outlets were also willing to judge the judge. X17Online gushed over how she went over the top and triggered flashbacks of the “Mean Girls” Lilo. Celebuzz duly noted the show’s ironic introduction of Lohan as “America’s sweetheart,” her glam ensemble, and the funny lines. OK Magazine credited the actress and her love of the “underdog” for letting the Glee club kids of McKinley High finally win a trophy. (Then again, with coach Sue Sylvester pumping Mercedes full of steroids to kill her food-poisoning-induced fever, doesn’t that call for an investigation?)

MTV reported Lohan’s 166 seconds on “Glee” was full of “sweet, self-deprecating humor. The actress, playing herself, was able to make cracks about her contentious public image.” But MTV couldn’t get any “Glee” stars or even the chatty blogger to confirm or deny rumors of backstage tardiness or diva behavior. She enjoyed herself, the New York Daily News decided, and the “casual” performance was a “high note.” The Seattle Post Intelligencer wasn’t as kind, dismissing the “uselessness” of both Lohan and Hilton’s appearances (but thumbs up on the win), Newsday dubbed it a “dumb outing, another wasted opportunity,” and Entertainment Weekly — which professed great love for the Lilo — wavered and said the lines “were pretty funny — if not a bit sad.”
